memory of
Ora W. Banks
Ora W. Banks worked for 30 years for
New York State with developmentally disabled children, until her retirement. She was a wonderful, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Banks was an avid reader. She loved to tell stories and often sang songs to children. Over the years many children were touched in some way by Mrs. Banks. She taught us, her children, to have patience and tolerance with all children.
Her love of children and 30 years of experience in Childhood and Adult Development inspired us to create Ora's Place Inc. It is in her home that we now provide a quality home child care that offers stimulating activities and nutritious meals for children 6 wks. to 12 years of age. We will do everything we can to meet your expectations.
As the daughter of Ora W. Banks and the creator of Ora's Place Inc. I have 32 years of experience in Early Childhood Development and Social Work from our local Head Start Program and 2 years as an Administrator of a Local Day Care Center. I am NYS Licensed and a participant of the CACFP (Child Adult Care Food Program), I am also MAT Certified.
